Refund and Cancellaton Policy

Updated: April 29, 2026

If you have made a deposit on classes and are unable to attend the upcoming semester, the following refund policy may apply to you. Please carefully review the following Refund Policy. The following terms are applicable to any current or future Classes that You purchased with Us. For avoidance of doubt, the below policy does not apply to unexpected closures of the studio or holidays. To read about how we handle unexpected closures, please visit our Studio Policies page.

Classes Cancellation Request

You are entitled to cancel your Classes at any point 72 hours before the scheduled start time of your Class. Cancellation requests made within 72 hours of your Class start time may not be honored, as each class requires materials to be ordered for each student.

To cancel Classes, You must inform Us of your decision by means of a clear statement. You can inform us of your decision by phone at (845) 781-6560. We will reimburse You no later than 14 days from the day on which We received and approved your request for cancellation of your Classes. We will use the same means of payment that You used for your total payment towards your Classes.

Transfers and Substitutions

Class registrations are non-transferable. When you register for a class, that seat is yours. It cannot be gifted, swapped, or transferred to another person at any time. Our instructors design each session around the students who enrolled. Bringing in someone new mid-stream disrupts the flow of learning for everyone.

For the same reason, payment for one session cannot be applied to a different time slot or future semester. As a small business, we simply don’t have the resources to shift schedules and adjust payments.

No-Shows, Attendance, and Make-up Classes

Refunds will not be issued for 'no-shows' or for any sessions missed by the student once the semester has begun.

We do not offer guaranteed make-up classes for sessions you’re unable to attend. However, we are happy to help when we can. If a spot opens up in another class, we’ll let you know. If you’d like to be considered, notify Marilyn that you’re available, and we’ll do our best to fit you in.

Unexpected Studio Closures, Class Cancellations, and Rescheduling

We do our best to run every class as planned. But as a small operation, we’re sometimes at the mercy of “snafus” — whether it’s a calendar mix-up (with the Warwick Community Center, Warwick Central School District, or any calendar), a surprise from Mother Nature, a building issue, or an unexpected absence of our coordinator, Marilyn Dale, can’t cover. It happens, despite our best intentions.

If we cancel a class, it will always be rescheduled at the end of the current semester. We’re truly sorry for any inconvenience. We understand some students need a more rigid schedule. If that’s you, several larger institutions in the area also offer pottery programs and may be a better fit.

Reasons for cancellation may include (but are not limited to) inclement weather, unsafe road or building conditions, or inability to secure a substitute instructor.
